Tor is a private anonymous browser that aims to conceal its user’s identities and their online activity from traffic and surveillance by separating identification and routeing.
Tor web browser is an implementation of onion routing, which encrypts and then randomly bounces communications through a network of relays run by volunteers around the globe.
Step by Step Installation Guide for Tor Browser:
Step 1: First download Tor browser from here.
Step 2: After Downloading the Tor Browser for Windows Save the package somewhere “C:” drive or where you want to save the location. Copy the Download file and save it to another location for future use. If you use Tor Browser file frequently Better to save it in USB disk.
Step 3: Run the Tor browser by double clicking Tor Browser Package for Windows.
Step 4: A Dialogue box appears, click “Run” and then select your preferred installer’s language and click ok.
Step 5: Next, click Install and it takes few minutes to complete the process.
Step 6: Once the installation is complete, click Finish to launch Tor Browser’s wizard Tor Browser for Window opens and click connect.
Alternatively, you can launch Tor Browser by going to the Tor Browser folder which can be found at the location you saved the bundle at (Default: Desktop) and double-click on the Start Tor Browser application.
Step 7: Once Tor is ready, Tor Browser for Windows will automatically be opened.
Step 8: Game of thrill starts now. Just enter the URL and start browsing the internet anonymously.
Step 9: Only webpages visited through Tor Browser will be sent via Tor. So Other web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are not affected.
Step 10: Once you are finished browsing, close the Tor Browser by clicking the icon found at the Top right corner or press Alt+F4.
Step 11: For privacy reasons, the list of web pages you visited and any cookies will be deleted. For this, just open the Browser and Go to settings->History->Clear Recent History. To use the Tor Browser again, double click on the “Start Tor Browser” application.
Remember that Tor anonymity is the origin of your traffic, and it encrypts everything inside the Tor network. If you are communicating sensitive information, you should use as much care as you would on the normal scary Internet — use HTTPS or other end-to-end encryption and authentication.
